We designed and shipped patient and consultant apps for a telemedicine platform on the App Store and Google Play before the pandemic made the idea obvious. We build mobile apps as part of a platform, with the web application, admin and API designed together.

Apps are the front of a system, not the whole thing
The patient app, the consultant app, the web dashboard and the admin panel of a telemedicine platform are one product with four faces. We design the data model and API once, then build each face for the people who use it. That's why our apps launch with the web platform rather than months after it.
The traditional process, on purpose
Requirements in writing, sketches on paper, draw.io wireframes, Figma prototypes for every user type and screen size, then implementation. It sounds slow. It's the reason the telemedicine apps went through the App Store review and into people's hands without a redesign.
Publishing and beyond
App Store and Google Play listings, review submissions, privacy declarations and the updates the platforms keep demanding. We handle the publishing and stay on to maintain the apps as operating systems change.

Do we need a web version too?
Almost always, at least for admin. Designing them together is cheaper than bolting one on later.
How long does an app take?
A focused app on an existing platform: two to four months. A new platform with several user types: longer, and we'll phase it.
