Two years of work for a London EdTech company. Prospective students overseas are matched with current UK university students who speak their language and study their course, for advice before any formal application. A by-product became the second half of the platform: a university portal showing a pool of applications with academic data only, personal and ethnic details hidden, so admissions decisions are made without bias, with an agent portal for applying on behalf of clients. Built before the pandemic, when almost nobody was doing it. Patients search specialists, book and pay for a video consultation; consultants manage availability, notes and follow-ups. A web application plus iOS and Android apps, published on the App Store and Google Play. Designed the traditional way: requirements in writing, sketches on paper, draw.io wireframes, Figma prototypes, then implementation across every user type and platform.

Delivered in one year after the clinic's COVID testing platform proved we could be trusted with their data. We visited the island several times to sit with every member of staff, from reception to radiology, and map what other systems had got wrong. The result is a single EHR across multiple locations with role-based access for patients, doctors, nurses and administrators: appointments, quotes and invoices, vitals, visit summaries, X-ray, ultrasound, ophthalmology, laboratory, pharmacy, inventory and stock, and financial and clinical reporting. It also reconciles claims with the national health scheme, so the money the government owes the clinic for treating its members is tracked and settled automatically.

HealthcareCOVID-19 testing, payments and travel certificates for a clinic on a Caribbean island
During the pandemic, tourists and residents needed PCR, NAAT and antigen tests with results they could show at an airport. We built the booking site, then a bespoke payment gateway on PlugnPay because neither PayPal nor Stripe operated on the island. Results and health data sit behind tiered access control, and each certificate carries a QR code that airport authorities scan to confirm validity before travel. It was hard, it was urgent, and it worked, which is why the clinic came back for their EHR.
